Sin Fronteras Movie Night in Portland

Learn about the Oaxaca Commune on Sunday, October 15th in Portland, 7:00pm, at The Red and Black Cafe (2138 SE Division). “Sembrando Esperanza,” a documentary about the indigenous council of Oaxaca CIPO-RFM and “Granito de Arena/ Grain of Sand,” a film about the Mexican Teachers labor rights struggle & against the privatization of public education, will be screened. If time permits, “Confrontacion,” raw footage about the armed repression against teachers and supporters, will also be screened.

FILM SCREENINGS ARE $3-$5 DONATION, BUT NOBODY’S TURNED AWAY FOR LACK OF FUNDS.

This event is a benefit for Sin Fronteras Portland towards bringing the Oaxacan Libertaria Tour to Portland in November in which participants of both the teachers union, and CIPO-RFM as well as other organizations involved in the struggle in Oaxaca will be touring the southwest and west coast.

Sin Fronteras is very excited to screen these two films and feel it is important for those interested in Revolutionary struggle to pay attention, support, and build with the people in Oaxaca. Some resources for information:
