Demonstration on the 11th St. Bridge in Austin

AGGO/La Otra ATX writes: You are invited to join us for a Holiday Demonstration on the 11th St. Bridge
(at the west intersection with IH-35)
December 22, 2006
11:30 AM to 2 PM

Please spread the word and please bring friends!

This action is planned in response to a call for a worldwide mobilization put out by the EZLN, who calls on all honest people, in Mexico and the world, to initiate, starting now, continual actions of solidarity and support to the Oaxacan people, with the following demands:

For the living reappearance of the disappeared, for the freedom of the detained, for the exit of Ulises Ruiz and the federal forces from Oaxaca, for the punishment of those guilty of torture, rape and murder.

The people of Oaxaca are under attack by the Mexican Army and Federal Police. Demand an end to the violence against social Activists in the southern state of Oaxaca. La Otra de Austin calls for human dignity, a non- military resolution of the crisis, free for all political prisoners and an end to human rights violations in Oaxaca.
