Protest Vicente Fox’s Visit to PDX

From the pdx-imc open publishing newswire: Join local groups this Wednesday, March 19, at 5:30 PM, to protest the former head of Latin American Coca Cola and ex-president of Mexico Vicente Fox’s lecture at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland. Fox is known for his hand in creating the exploitative Plan Puebla Panama, his support of FTAA and NAFTA, and his readiness to answer grassroots resistance with violent repression in Texacoco, Atenco, Chiapas, and Oaxaca. Fox will be speaking on “Border Crossings: Immigration, Free Trade, and Security”. Let’s show him the door, in solidarity with those he has oppressed.

VICENTE FOX OUT OF PORTLAND!

Vicente Fox is being sponsored by Lewis and Clark College, Nike, Lufthansa, OPB, and others to address the topic of “Border Crossings: Immigration, Free Trade, and Security” at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall (1037 SW Broadway, Portland, OR) this Wednesday. His lecture begins at 7PM, but we will be there early, at 5:30, with literature! street theater! signs! and free hot cocoa! We are there to counter the misinformation he will be spreading about his presidency, to visibly reject neo-liberalism and state repression, and to stand in solidarity with those who have been and continue to be repressed by Fox’s actions and policies.

Bring your rage, literature, signs, banners, noise-makers, and anything else you may need.

Educational actions are one step, resistance will follow.
