This past Monday the tension in Oaxaca increased when the Federal police (PFP) announced a zero tolerance policy against Asamblea Popular de los pueblos de Oaxaca (APPO) members and their sympathizers. Now the police are searching and ransacking houses and buildings searching for activists. Since last Saturday there are at least three confirmed deaths, more than 100 injured people, and 221 arrested including 41 women. Because we condemn this crime against Oaxacan people we are going to have a demonstration at the Mexican consulate.
